Fig Tree Pocket Zone Profile

Posted on: July 26, 2010 in Zone Profile

While this community consists of a wide range of socio economic circumstances, a large percentage of Fig Tree Pocket residents are well-educated professionals who are well-versed on social, political and educational issues. Over 59% of households in this area are comprised of couples with children, 31% are couples without children and 8% are single parent families. The FTP Zone incorporates the suburbs of FTP and Lone Pine.

FTP Zone is within close proximity of good educational facilities and has easy access to recreational picnic grounds and parks. FTP is likely to experience good growth throughout the next decade as demand for near-city living expands into the suburbs and young families move within close proximity of good schools.

Community services which cater for the growing family and children of two income families would be in high demand. KBC Growth Groups which are family friendly or cater for the needs of the over 60’s age group in this Zone, would provide a highly valuable resource to this community.
