Huddle Time

Posted on: July 6, 2010 in The Hub Downloads, The Hub News

Huddle week is upon us again, and again we ask leaders to give their groups a night off so you can receive information and support. This time we are talking with you about developing relationships within the group, and also about the upcoming events for the second half of 2010 that have implications on your groups. We look forward to seeing you again.

What is a Huddle?
It is a once-per-shool-term meeting for a dozen or so G/Group Lead ers at KBC. Leaders are encour aged to take this week off from lead ing a group, so they can attend their meeting. Through out the first week of every school term, leaders from each area will meet together on one of four evenings with Pat Hegarty and Eric Whitley.

What’s the Purpose and Plan for Huddles?
Huddles go for around 2 hours, and contain elements of training, de-brief, workshops, and prayer/support for leaders. It’s where you receive personal support, and have an opportunity to speak into the development of KBC’s group network. Pat and Eric set aside the whole week of evenings to meet with leaders for vital face-to-face con tact. Yours is the single most vital volunteer role in the church, and it is crucial that you are equipped and suppor ted well.

When and Where Do I Need to Be?
Huddles start at 7:30pm. A download is provided (at right — Huddle Zones & Dates) detailing which group members should attend each evening, and which room to meet in. If you are unable to attend because of work commitments etc, we understand, but hope you will make an effort to be there. It is import ant for you, and for your group members.
