Huddle De-Brief

(or What leaders are Saying about their groups)

During the recent Huddle gatherings, group leaders joined together over four evenings for input, prayer and support. Every evening had differing emphasis as God led us in discussion regarding specific situations and challenges. There were some consistent themes coming from the groups however that all leaders might like to know:

1) Many leaders suggested that doing a church-wide campaign such as SIGN was beneficial, but somewhat disruptive at the beginning of the year. In future, we will allow groups more time to establish themselves before such a campaign.

2) God is on the move within our groups. Many potential leaders are being prepared, and new members and/or believers are beginning to swell some groups. Begin to pray about when to multiply your group, and who could be included in a potential leadership team.

3) The quarterly Huddles and the annual Envision day are sufficient support/training for leaders, and worth sustaining.

4) Groups retain a strong diversity in culture, but can still incorporate the aspects of G.R.O.W.T.H. that ensure group health.

Thanks to all who attended (which was almost everyone!). We intend to adjust a few things to improve the experience for next time. Stay tuned.
